How to post an image in the GSO thread

Tara here again with yet another handy dandy tutorial. hehehe! This time I am going to show you how to place an image into the Gallery Standout thead, the easy way (hotlinking for those of you playing at home LOL). This will also work for adding your artwork anywhere within Deviant Scrap. We highly urge you not to use the links outside of Deviant Scrap.

Step 1.

Go to the gallery and when you spot an exceptional piece of art click on it like I have shown below:



Step 2.

Now I will show you how to do this in all Google Chrome, Firefox & Internet Explorer browsers.

Google Chrome

Right click on the artwork you are wanting to show off and click Copy image URL as shown below:



Firefox

Right click on the artwork you are wanting to show off and click Copy Image Location as shown below:



Internet Explorer

Right click on the artwork you are wanting to show off and click Properties as shown below:



Now you need to 1.) Highlight the Address (URL) code as shown below and 2.) right click and hit Copy:



Step 3.

Ok now if you need to link your image to either your gallery or anything like that, all you need to do is the following:

1. Click on the image you just placed in your post so it has a border around it like below.

2. Click on the Insert Link icon.



Step 4.

In the box that pops up, you will need to paste the link to where you want your image linked up to in the URL field as shown below and then hit the OK button:



Step 5.

Your all done! Your image should now have a border around it now which shows that your image is all linked up like shown below. All you need to do now is finish your post off and hit the Submit button and away you go. You have now added your first GSO post.
